Home Defense course is a home and family emergency training concept.
A class for both beginners and the more advanced student.
Here we dive deeper into the how and why of home defense and its overarching strategy. We will review the action on objective, communication within the family unit, response protocols, and movement within the structure adapting for day and night conditions. It's important for the family unit to have a clear plan of action in an emergency situation and this class is designed to give the students the framework to build and practice that plan themselves. We combine classroom work and structure scenario work to take a closer look at the methods and risks posed to families in the U.S. The physiological response, psychological effects, and various studies conducted on behalf of the Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security, and other federal agencies will be part of bringing an in-depth understanding and planning for emergency response.
This course reviews the tenets of close-quarter battle, weapons manipulations, team planning, emergency communication protocols, and a host of other subjects that will allow the individual as well as the family to formulate and execute a plan for the worst-case scenario. Our lead instructor is an active-duty Special Forces Senior weapons, Sergeant, with multiple deployments for the Army and for private security companies working and training overseas. His experience in combination with a special forces training methodology aids in the transfer of knowledge from teacher to student. Our secondary instructor is a former U.S. Army Green Beret with a long career in emergency management, disaster response, and first responder methodologies. This is not a high-speed action-packed course for sake of being high-speed. This is a class designed to take a father, mother, or couple and give them the tips, tools, and knowledge to act as the first responders to a threat or incident in their home. We aim to empower the student by teaching the comprehensive fundamentals.
